Curious Minds!

Someone asked me this question.(Quora platform)

Why do humans value things more after losing them?

Answer

This happens with things that have always been with you—like a companion.

You were giving them value, but constant presence dulled your awareness, as they were before your eyes every moment.

What is true with lost persons also applies to the things that have become our companions: only absence reveals the depth of their worth.
