Dignity is the quality of being worthy of honor and respect, expressed through manner, conduct, and inner worth.
It is not only a formality but a principle that shapes how one lives and how one is perceived.
Universality — Dignity belongs to every human being, regardless of status or circumstance. Cultures recognize it as a fundamental aspect of life.
Psychological Aspect — Dignity sustains self‑esteem and resilience. It may be diminished by disrespectful treatment, corruption, loss of self‑respect, dependency, fear, or neglect of conduct; when diminished, a person feels weakened, unsettled, and loses confidence in themselves and in the trust of others. Preserving dignity gives confidence and inner balance, while nurturing self‑respect that supports mental health.

Philosophical Aspect — Philosophers treat dignity as the foundation of human worth and justice. It raises questions of respect, honor, and moral standing, making it central to ethics and rights.

No Scope for Corruption — An honest government official is always strict in his assigned work leaving no scope for favouritism or attempts of corrupt practices.

What we remember.
