When the villain outshines the hero!

Have you ever liked a villain more than the hero? Who and why?

Big Boss, sometimes your prompts feel like a live show of content creation. In that show, you are the hero, and we—writers and readers—become the villains, responding obediently to your prompts without complaint. In such a setting, the villain seems stronger than the hero.

In Hindi cinema, I have truly liked Shatrughan Sinha in his villain roles. His manly personality and powerful dialogue delivery often outshone the heroes. One example is the movie Gulam, Begam Badshah, available on YouTube.

Sometimes the villain wins admiration—not for evil, but for style, strength, and unforgettable presence.

  1. I enjoyed this overall. The Mahabharata reference and Yudhisthiras answer about the mind fit so well with what you explored here. The six kilometres and sixty thousand kilometres line was a gem, and you brought the post back to hope at the end. 😄

  2. I had a feeling Shatrughan Sinha would make an appearance in a post like this. 😄 His screen presence could make the hero look like he had wandered into the wrong movie. And your opening take on Big Boss made me laugh!
