My pet is the peacock.

I shared videos instead of a photo, since our bond is from a distance.

On my six‑acre farm, peacocks live freely.They eat seeds and vegetables, drink water from the well, and take their rounds before dawn and in the early morning. Many times they fly high — to the house roof and even tall coconut trees, as you see in the videos, and sing in their distinct voice.

Their uniqueness lies in what they leave behind: feathers of esteemed beauty, reminders that true pets need not be confined. I collect them, share them with children, and place them in our Devaghar.

This has become my periodic routine: to visit the farm, enjoy their enchanting rounds, and cultivate portions of land especially for their food.

For me, their presence is a lesson—freedom with beauty, companionship without chains.
