Share a proverb you think is completely wrong and make your case.
I believe that the proverb “Man proposes and God disposes” is completely wrong, because it undermines the very foundation of human responsibility and effort.

The reasons are clear:
Denial of Human capability : It denies responsibility by suggesting that outcomes are decided only by God, not by human effort.
Resignation to God’s will: It encourages passivity, making people believe their plans are meaningless if God disposes otherwise.
Reality of human effort: In today’s world, outcomes are shaped by deliberate human efforts, wise choices, social systems, and natural laws—not by God disposing of them.
Psychological impact: It comforts failure but discourages perseverance, leading people to accept setbacks as “God’s will” instead of learning and improving.
My Conclusion: Success or failure depends on human effort, wisdom, and responsibility. To dismiss this truth as “God’s disposal” weakens accountability and encourages resignation. Human beings must own their choices and consequences, not surrender them to God’s disposal.
You can’t decide and control.
