Answer
It is the “obedience” they expect – but not always available from those in their life.
An obedience that is simple, predictable, and reassuring.
Among people, such obedience is rare, tangled in ego, conflict, and resistance.
From pets, it flows without question, offering a sense of control and harmony.
You can call it “possessiveness.”
